Bball registration

Hey coaches

Welcome to a new season of basketball.
We are excited to offer two opportunities for teams to be involved with - a brief league schedule, and a single day tournament experience.
For those that are new to basketball, all rules and information can be found at https://lesaa.limestone.on.ca/basketball
As a reminder, LESAA promotes the idea of providing sport learning experiences for all participants. This is why all players on a team must play in every half of every game.
The basketball for intermediate basketball is size 6.
On a final note, we welcome the involvement of Evan Cheetham, who will be taking over the role of convenor of basketball next season.
Please let us know if you have any further questions.
Erik on behalf of Evan and Darrell

I have attached the link for basketball registration - it is due by 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 20, 2023.

2023 SR BBALL Registration

There are 3 pages/tabs on this registration file.  The first tab "instructions" can only be viewed if you shrink the size to fit your screen.  If anyone knows how to "unfreeze it" please let me know and I will make that adjustment to allow you to scroll through the entire page.

The second tab is for boys and the 3rd tab is for girls.   And remember, this registration is for senior teams only - junior registration will be closer to Marchbreak.

Once registration has closed we will then proceed to organize the teams wishing to participate in the league into groups of 3, 4, 5, or (it depends on number of registered teams).  The league divisions will be determined primarily by geography (not necessarily skill level) - keeping your travel distances as short as possible.  Should you wish to arrange exhibition games against other schools feel free to do that - you will have all of the contact info for coaches right on this registration sheet.

Some FAQ's

1) $150/team - competitive or recreation
2) LESAA will supply refs for the tournaments - we will prob be looking for help from teams to supply us with a scorekeeper
3) some smaller schools may need to enter an open team - if that is the case they will be scheduled into a boys tournament, unless I get enough registered to have their own tournament - that would prob be 4 teams
4) you are encouraged to give us lots of information about the skill level of your team, we always take into account the results of games, etc - but the size of the school is often the only information we have when forming divisions

If you have any questions please contact Erik or Evan or Darrell
