Hey Coaches - The LESAA executive wanted all coaches to get this message - so I will be sending the same message to all 6 sports - the message will not change, so if you have read it once......
A message from LESAA Executive:
In June of 2017, the LESAA Executive created a coaching award named after John Hall, former LESAA Co-Ordinator, for his many years of volunteering, coaching, and mentoring sports and young athletes in our board.
Since that inaugural year, we have been able to recognize several LDSB educators and coaches for their leadership in athletics. We are currently calling for nominations for this current school year. The description and nomination process are as follows:
John Hall Coach’s Award-
“In recognition of excellence in coaching while promoting the ideals of fair play and teamwork.”
Nomination (1 page only): Briefly outline the leadership roles that the nominee has undertaken with LDSB athletics and how they promote the ideals of fair-play and teamwork while coaching.
Nominations are due to LESAA Co-ordinator Darrell Scott by Wednesday, June 21, 2023.
Nominations may be submitted by LDSB staff (administrators, teachers, support), LESAA Executive, parents or students. The John Hall Coach’s Award recipient will be announced during the last week of school.
Members of the LESAA Executive will vote on the successful candidate.
