Thursday's Basketball Tournament has been postponed

Hey Coaches
Erik and I really hate to do this but we are postponing the LESAA basketball tournament on Thursday and moving it to Friday, Feb 24. We have a snow day available to us and we believe it is in the best interests of everyone to make the announcement tonight - instead of waiting. The starting times for the tournament do not change.
The forecast has been predicting a major storm is heading our way since the weekend. Today we have a "winter storm warning" with us getting up to 20cms of snow and then ice pellets. And then on Thursday we will be getting freezing rain.
We don't know if we will get any or all of this forecast, but we do know that buses have been cancelled when freezing rain is in the forecast...... which we have right now.
We have already notified our officials and Queen's of our decision. Thursday's tournament will be played on Friday!!
We hope this early announcement will make it easier for the affected teams to arrange OT's and transportation plans.
