Basketball Registration Due Wednesday, Dec 21, 2022

Hey Coaches
The heading is not a typo - basketball registration is due next Wednesday, December 21. We are planning/hoping to organize a basketball league for any, and all, interested teams. For that to happen, we need to know which schools will be sending teams and in which categories.
We will be sending out the registration form tomorrow or Wednesday. We realize that many of you have not started planning for your teams yet - but you will probably know IF you will have a team and if that team will be playing RECREATION or COMPETITIVE basketball.
Important Dates:
* Wednesday, Dec 21, 2022 - basketball registration is due - we need to know the number of teams so we can arrange for adequate venues
* week of January 23, 2023 - leagues will begin - we plan on setting up the league geographically (as last year) and coaches are free to schedule many more exhibition games if desired - the league will conclude on Feb 3
* week of Feb 6 - we will prepare the schedules and send them out to teams - seeding will be based on school population (as always) and exhibition game results
* week of Feb 21 - we have 2 Queen's University gyms booked for our LESAA tournaments, we anticipate we will also need to use other venues,
Cost is $150/team and your school will be invoiced for the number of teams that your school registers.
Erik Vreeken (Lancaster) is the LESAA basketball convener. Scott McFarlane and I will be working to make Erik's plans come true!!
Junior basketball registration will be just before Marchbreak with the season happening in April.
Much more information will be coming in the next day or two.
If you are not the basketball coach this year AND/OR other staff are helping, please pass along this message to the appropriate people. Also please ensure that those people have subscribed to get these emails. If they have any questions ask them to email me.
